Use the Shift Key to Constrain to Snap Angles
Line Tool
The PowerCADD Line tool can be used to draw lines at any angle,
however, if you hold down the Shift key, the lines are constrained
to the snap angles set in PowerCADD, typically 0°, 30°,
45°, 60° and 90°.

Press the Shift key to constrain to snap angles.
This is the typical use of the Shift key in PowerCADD.
Use the Shift Key to Unconstrain from Snap Angles
Multi-angle Line Tool
On the other hand, the Multi-angle Line tool is already constrained
to the snap angles, and this means that if you hold down the Shift
key, the line is free to draw at any angle

With the Multi-angle Line tool, you press the Shift key to unconstrain
the line.
This is also typical of the use of the Shift key in PowerCADD--when something is already constrained to snap angles, then the Shift key reverses the constraint.
