The Edit Window

Edit Objects with the Edit Window
The Edit window allows you to resize, position and rotate objects precisely using the computer's keyboard.

The Edit window allows you to edit selected objects in the drawing.

The Real Power: Interrupt the Drawing Process and Use the Edit Window
However, the real power of the Edit window is that you can interrupt the drawing process to edit an object that you are drawing.

Press the Tab key while drawing to enter the Edit
window. Press the Enter key to complete the operation.

As you can see in the example above, as you draw the line you get to a length of 1.9" and then you decide, let's just make it 2.25". So you press the tab key to enter the Edit window, type 2.25 and then press the Enter key to complete the operation.

The completed line is 2.25" long.

Important!
In PowerCADD, whenever you are typing a dimension in the Edit window or in any dialog, you can use mixed dimensional units or math. So you could also have typed 25mm or 1.25" + .38km and it would have worked.
