The Edit Window

Use the Edit Window with Parallel Offsets in WildTools
And when you lay out a design with WildTools, you normally use the Offset Line or Parallel Offset tools. Let's look at an example of this in action.

The WildTools Offset Line tool in action.

Okay, you've already drawn a vertical line in the drawing, so you click on the line with the Offset Line tool and then drag away. As you drag, the offset amount shows in the Show Location bar and the Edit Window.

Press the Tab key to enter the Edit Window, type the offset that you want, and then press the Enter key to complete the operation. The new line that is placed in the drawing is offset to the distance that you just typed.

WildTools is an extra-cost add-on to PowerCADD. The features described for WildTools are only available if you purchase WildTools in addition to PowerCADD.
