Place Objects on a Path
You can use Objects on Path to place multiple objects along a polygon. The objects can be from a Symbol file, or something that you copied to the clipboard.

In this example, we copied a rectangle to the clipboard, selected the polygon and then chose Objects on Path from the Tool menu.
