The Overview Window

A Bird's-Eye View
The Overview Window provides a bird's-eye view of the drawing. You can use it to move around the drawing in a number of ways.

Moving around the drawing with the Overview window.

When you move the cursor over the Overview window, you can see a rectangle that indicates the current view. You can drag this rectangle around to change the current view.

Dragging a new view with the Overview window.

You can also place the cursor anywhere else in the Overview window and drag a rectangle to create a new view of the drawing.

While the example above shows a small Overview window, you may resize it so that it is quite large. Many users put this on a second monitor.
