Get it on Paper
Today, with the high-resolution laser printers and large-format
ink-jet plotters, the business of getting your drawing on paper
is dramatically easier than it has been in the past.
Even though the large ink-jet devices are called 'plotters', they are actually printers to PowerCADD, and you choose the Print command in PowerCADD.
These large ink-jet plotters can be PostScript devices, or you can use the popular PowerPlot software or Microspot raster board to drive the plotters. There are vocal advocates for each of these.

Advanced printing options: Print the Window View, Fit to Page
and Time Stamp.
When you print from PowerCADD, you have the additional choices of printing the window (i.e. just what you are looking at on the screen), automatically scaling it so the entire drawing will fit on the page, and if you want a time stamp on the print.
WildTools also provides LaserPrint for direct PostScript printing. This is particularly effective with 600-dpi printers.
| WildTools is an extra-cost add-on to PowerCADD. The features described for WildTools are only available if you purchase WildTools in addition to PowerCADD. |
