Easy to Learn

Start Drawing on the First Day
CAD programs have been notoriously difficult to learn, often requiring that you go to a training school. That's expensive, but the real nightmare is that once you've paid for the training for an employee, they are then a more marketable commodity, and they jump ship for a higher salary!

PowerCADD is a very non-threatening program, and most people can be drawing with it on the first day.

In a typical situation, a friend or associate in an office will sit down with a new user and show them the basics of the program:  how the tools work, how snapping works, how you customize and use command keys, etc.--the things we've just shown you here. Then most people take the manuals, and get up to speed on their own. Most people are working productively in a week, and in a month or two of normal use, they'll be a 'terror on the boards', and they're spoiled for life.

"When Claris stopped supporting ClarisCAD, I spent a year evaluating all of the alternatives available, and I looked at all of the programs out there. While I really like the ability to do beautiful drawings, for me the deciding factors were cost and cost of training. I can set up four people working with PowerCADD for what a single copy of AutoCAD would cost. And I can have a new employee up and running in a week. And that is the reason we are using PowerCADD and WildTools today."
