PCADD 9.1.8 vs AutoCad Version Translation

Post by bellarchitect » Mon Jun 03, 2019 2:47 pm

I'm using PCADD 9.1.8. Does anyone know the latest version of AutoCad I can open - what year? And, anyway for us to know what versions we can open?

I have an AutoCad file I need to open and PCADD states I can't open it due to version issues. I tried the free reader at the AutoCad site and that's horrible to use.

Thanks! Frank

PowerCADD 9.1.8 can open AutoCad files in 2010 format or earlier. If you have a provider who delivers a file in an later format than PowerCADD can read, you can convert that file to the version PowerCADD can read by using the ODA Converter. ODA is the company which produces the AutoCad DWG libraries PowerCADD uses. Here's a link to the ODA converter: https://www.opendesign.com/guestfiles/o ... _converter
