"Harry the Bartender" "Harry the Bartender" is an architectural rendering of a proposed barroom for a conference center in Riverside, California. Created by Tom Kennedy of The PIDA Group, architects in Costa Mesa, CA, the drawing has the look of a pastel 'hand-drawn' sketch. This is a large drawing so let's zoom in on a few details. |

| Here you can see the irregular, hand-drawn look of the drawing. This was created by drawing with normal straight lines, and then Tom used the WildTools 'Squiggle' command to squiggle the lines. Squiggle allows you to control the roughness of the shakey line, as well as the extensions of the lines in the corners. The latest version of Squiggle also allows you to put blobs on the ends of lines. |

| And here's another close-up of the drawing. The WildTools Squiggle command has been a popular addition to PowerCADD for renderings, and in particular for presentation drawings for proposed designs to be shown to clients. It may be counter-intuitive, but when a drawing has sharp, straight lines, the drawing looks finished, and clients are reluctant to open up and talk about the design. But with a drawing that has been squiggled, people tend to open up and discuss how a design might be changed to suit them. |
