Two types of grass, golf fairway and grainy grass textures |

Hatch Procedure Here's how I create a hatch from a jpeg. 1. Take a photo or download desired texture or pattern; I usually use a jpeg of some sort. 2. “Place” the image in PowerCADD. 3. Resize or crop image to 10’x10’ (I draw exclusively in 1/8” scale). 4. Select the image and choose New Hatch -- From Selection from the Attr menu. 5. Use the WildTools Flood Tool or PowerCADD's Paint Bucket Tool to flood an enclosed area with a simple fill of some sort. 6. Select the flooded area. 7. Assign the hatch from the Hatch menu. 8. Make sure the filled and hatched area is behind the perimeter lines. 9. Blow the doors off the competition. On a side note. I am still experimenting with dpi and using bitmaps and setting the anti-aliasing etc… Hopefully more to come. Frank Sandoval |
