The Wonder Museum
A Children's Educational Center
East Windsor, New Jersey
1998-1999

The Wonder Museum is a private educational children's center that features interactive exhibits. The existing 15,000 sq.ft.1930's roadside building, was formerly a bowling alley. The building was simply brought up to code and upgraded with a kitchen and cafe and party rooms as well asnew rest rooms and mechanical equipment .

The design emphasis was then placed in the exhibits. These include fantasy play items such as a pirate ship, a castle, and a rocket ship as well as "real world" items like a fire truck, a tractor and a tepee.

"A Hall of Ordinary Things" features gigantic house hold items such as teacup, a high heel shoe and a camera that takes and prints giant photos. There is a life-size dinosaur dig puzzle and oversized chess set.

A camera from the display.
