For one of my 'holidays' to Nepal a few years ago it seemed like a neat idea to have some expedition graphics and the like. After all, if one is going to attempt 20,000 ft plus trekking peaks it seems only fitting... (unfortunately we didn't successfully summit either peak).

The graphics you see here were developed in PowerCADD as a series of components. Everything from business cards, baggage ID tags and jacket logo's for digitizing were all setup and design in PowerCADD. I had a lot of fun 'playing' with the design development and used a variety of PowerCADD techniques to generate the various finished products. Once I worked out the 'idea' (literally on a bar room napkin after a few pints ) I jumped straight into PowerCADD to complete design development and produce the technical dwgs for digitizing.

Some of the tips and tricks included

Convert to outlines
Used to convert the fonts to bezier curves so I could adjust the proportions of the overall look and feel. This also allowed me to generate larger outline dwgs only for the folks who manually digitized the graphics for stitching onto jackets.

Publish and Subscribe
Used for all the printed sheets for ID tags and business cards. This significantly speed up the editing process for business cards and ID tags which were customized for various members. I was able to make a change to ONE and the remaining copies for printing were automatically updated w/the correct photographs and text.

Squiggle
Used to loosen up the 'triangles' symbolizing the two peaks
