An existing Craftsman bungalow in an historical landmark district was expanded and a new garage added.  The client wanted to maximize the uses of the now smaller back yard as well as have a large shaded patio and spa.  This was the result.

 

 

This drawing was started in PowerCADD 6 and finished in PowerCADD 7.  It was also the first attempt at using layer transparency effects.

 

 

Here are some details showing how the transparency effect was used.  The shrub layer opacity was reduced so that this information was secondary to the trees “above” while still showing the layout “below”.

 

 

It was then brought over to Photoshop for the final rendering.
