What we got here is a new way to communicate. Take a close look at the drawing here and notice what is going on. For centuries, we've all used established drafting conventions based on the ability to draw with a pen or pencil. Se we use a heavier line as an outline, and cross-hatch some areas. It's a system that's worked for centuries, but now with the ability to fill an object with a color, we can make it abundantly clear what we are showing. Matt Arnold calls it 'entity drafting', or perhaps 'drafting with entities'. In any event, it's clear that PowerCADD gives us all the capability to show our designs in a way that's much easier to read by the average person. |
