Expo 2000: Drawings

Section through building

Drawing Process
We normally use PowerCADD for most of our projects, using this for all the stages from concept to construction drawings. Using the translators we could read and write DWGs and DXFs with information flying by email from Germany, England and Ireland. The construction set was drawn by Jim Hennessy, using a Mac G3 and WildTools. We could also save them as JPEGs for clients to view as the building progressed. We are currently using a mixture of Microstation and PowerCADD on Mac and PC platforms, intergrating them into 3D and rendering packages.
