In 1946, Stelio Frati, the designer of the Falco, wrote a book, L'Aliante (The Glider). It's an engineering textbook filled with illustrations of aerodynamic principals and aircraft design. It's a very rare book, and we decided to translate it to English and make it available to our Falco Builders. I've done all of the illustrations in PowerCADD, tracing the original drawings, and then I use LaserPrint to import them into Word. Today, anyone on the Internet can download and print out their own personal copy of Frati's old book. Isn't this an incredible world that we live in, that such a thing is possible at all. |
