One of the least glamorous uses of PowerCADD is to create cutting schedules for plywood and spruce.

 

 

Here is the cutting schedule of spruce strips for the wing ribs.

 

 

Here's an in-house drawing for the assembly of a wing rib.

 


 

Close-up view of the rib. The dots are actually the location of magic-marker dots that
we put on the jig-cut spruce so we can put them in the assembly jig without any confusion.

 

 

Assembly of the firewall frame. Each block has a part number. Once assembled, the outside shape is cut with a router.
