The lawyers needed an Exhibit A for the Real Estate Contract — to display who was buying and selling which parcels of unsurveyed land in a four handed deal on the road move.  PowerCADD and WildTools did lots of tracing using bezier curves, lots of Option-click with the Pen tool to modify and move bezier curves.  Lots of experimentation with hatching to find a set of black and white hatches that would show six different hatches many of which were on top of each other.

 

 

Final new road design

A long time after we made the road agreement, the engineers produced a road design. Their CAD drawing again only covered the portion of the property effected by the road.   Again we pasted the CAD drawing as a layer, created a white rectangle to cover up the unneeded parts of the drawing and combined it with the rest of the property. 

 

 

Post road move

With the moved road, the architect's master plan became dated.  This drawing used the Knife to cut off the unneeded parts of the master plan, and because we created a road system on the master planned area slightly different than the architect planned, we show the actual roads over the planned roads.  I used something like this to explain to the membership the benefit of the moved road.

 

 

Conditions

This drawing is all PowerCADD — no scans — to show conditions in the Summer of 2007.    I have saved it as a Sheet to use to create Event Layouts for the 2007 Flying Scot North American Championship being held in June 2007.  I used a new tool (to me) on this drawing to draw the fence around the property.  I recall creating a X for the post, a short line for the fence, then I grouped the two and colored them brown.  And then used the Linear Repeat tool to drag the fence section to create a group of 4-5 fence sections — longer if it was a straight line.  I was unable to take it around curves, so I used the Radial Duplicate tool  to make dozens of individual fence sections pointing in every direction. To make a fence going NE, I just dragged the fence section that was pointing NE to the first position, and dragged it with Linear Repeat, until the fence line turned away from that line.  And then repeated the process with a different pointing section. Certainly there are better ways, but that is what I did!
