Footprint and partial site plan. This is a derivation of a plan for a brochure that we put together for our real estate department as a marketing tool. The plan was prepared in PowerCADD and then exported and placed into a PageMaker document that was then sent to the printer to be reproduced using four color output. The inside cover of the brochure is shown below:

I first started using CAD about 10 years ago when we determined that we were wasting quite a bit of time making revision after revision to our criteria drawings and that the time spent revising sheets was becoming extremely inefficient. It was time to better utilize our time and turn to technology. The first fork in the road was platform and luckily we chose the correct path despite the entire rest of the company being on PC's. I was introduced at the time to ClarisCAD and decided to go with it.

The program suited our needs for many years but when it was no longer supported we searched for another CAD application. I evaluated many, and I discovered the PowerCADD and WildTools combination. I realized I had found a great fit! Its ability to open all of our ClarisCAD documents along with any .dwg file was part of what sold us on this package.

Also, I soon discovered you can draw anything and everything effortlessly with this package. There is a tool for any need. Additionally, the need for extensive training is eliminated with this application. No more expenditures for costly AutoCAD seminars or classes as anyone can be up and running and proficient in a matter of... well, hours frankly! In my mind there is none better. Additionally its ability to seamlessly interface with DesignWorkshop by Artifice, a 3D modeling and visualization application we use, gives us an even greater tool set to effectively convey our designs.
