| This Laurel Springs site plan was created in PowerCADD by importing the land surveyors DWG file for property lines, contours, and existing site features. The landscaping was then painstakingly drawn using complex polygons and filling them with the appropriate shade of green (blue for the ponds). We scanned the architect's hand drawn original, imported it into PowerCADD 2000, and traced over the drives, houses, and decks making complex polygons and filling them respectively. This was a efficient way to reproduce the information on the hand drawing without having to scale everything considering that the houses are not yet designed and did not need great accuracy. It plots 24"x36" at 1" = 100' scale, and is also used in the development brochure which is letter size and in full color. The Laurel Springs brochure is a beautiful 19-page full color document, and it was created entirely in PowerCADD for Dan Duckham Architect (www.danduckham.com). |
