Q: When running OS-9 there is a delay after clicking the menu bar, before the menu will open and drop down. A: This may be an "old font" issue. Remove old type 1 Adobe fonts from your System Font folder. |

Q: Using OS 8 and PowerCADD 4.0, some 'hieroglyphics' have appeared in my menu. A: An extension has probably over-written the menus. Find and remove the offending extension |

Q: I am having trouble opening older drawings in PowerCADD 4.0, it just seems to hang up. A: Turning Improved Text Accuracy off works in some cases. |

Q: I recently upgraded to PowerCADD 4.0 and have found that my key commands that use the "F" keys (i.e. F1, F2....) do not show up in the menu, is there some way to fix this? A: The menus in OS 8 do not support two characters to be displayed in the menu. Only a single character with a standard modifier key. Even though the "F" keys do not display properly they do function correctly. |

Q: I have installed OS 8 and now my PowerCADD 4.0 menus drop down very slowly A: Verify if protection checkboxes have been selected for Applications and System Folders in the General Control Panel, if so Apple suggests that these settings be turned off. Also if you have installed any Adobe products, check for Adobe Type Reunion and deactivate. |
