Shadow Attributes are part of PowerCADD. Open the window "Shadow Attributes" to apply and remove them to any object. You can also Show/Hide all shadows at the bottom of the View Menu. I suspect you have selected to hide them (even if there aren't any in the drawing) and that's why you're getting tha...

I'd love to be able to select an object, right click to move it to a different layer that is not "on" in the layer menu.
