I'm glad people are pursuing alternatives like HighDesign. Whatever works for you... but I bet quite a few of us are not that far from retirement... And personally, I'll not be spending time learning another CAD program to take to retirement with me. And I won't be trying to use nutty workarounds. ...

sounds to me as though your hatch object and your shape object are grouped, and your needle tool is set to apply to objects in group.

Please use this thread to post your font favorites and why you like them. I use Bell Centennial (remember phone books? this is the font) for specs and dimensions.
