Re: 64 Bit PowerCADD - Coordinate System changes

Alfred already knows I'm in the SketchUp user camp wanting better interaction. I wonder if we could do a poll of how many people use what 3D software along with PowerCADD?

Re: transparent background in PDF

I didn't think PDF had transparent background. Every time I need transparency on an import to SketchUp, it's had to be PNG. I have used a lengthy process in Photoshop for turning white background to transparent, mostly for scanned hand drawn artwork, but it's a bit of a chore. DWG out from SketchUp ...

Re: You can run Powercadd under Catalina

I don't know how you got Mojave to install at this point. I want to upgrade a machine I have with High Sierra on it to Mojave, not Catalina, but it seems that since last October or something, the certificate for the Mojave installer expired or something, and it refuses to work. I've read some hacks ...

Re: Switching machines

It sounds like PowerCADD is finding another copy with the same license running on another machine on the network. Is there any way that could be happening?

Re: Hope all are doing well...

I'm one of those players from those GEnie, ALPE, and AOL boards. The person who first got me to look at PowerDraw and jump in was an employee of Media 5, that Hawaii firm that Joe Burke later went to work for. His name escapes me at the moment, but we got together at a Boston Macworld Expo. I met Jo...

Re: Hiring!

I actually have been collaborating on projects with a few other people lately. I use SketchUp more and more for 3D and still use PowerCADD for 2D. I've done several apartments now with a friend in New York who is a PC user. He does most of the 2D drafting, and I model what's needed in 3D. We should ...

Re: Introduction

Seriously? Julie Miner from Centerbrook in the '80's? I first started using PowerCADD (actually PowerDraw 2.0 at the time) with my own copy while at Centerbrook in 1989. I didn't know you used PowerCADD.

Re: Update of PowerCADD for MacOS Catalina

My workflow is PowerCADD to SketchUp and then back to PowerCADD in general. In brief: - In SketchUp, set up things to be able to print to scale - Print, and then select PDF>Save as PDF and the resulting file will naturally come in at scale in PowerCADD - While that works for raster image, DWG is nee...

Re: Hello Fellow PowerCADD Users

I've used Wacom tablets with PC since about 1993. Currently on an Intuos Pro Medium. Works great with PC. Works great with Photoshop. A little trickier with SketchUp, but I've worked out my methods to cope. For the past several years, multiple Mac's and different OS versions, I can't seem to get pre...

PowerCADD+SketchUp Synergy

I've relied on PowerCADD for everything 2D for 30 years now. In the '90's, I used UpFront for 3D, and then SketchUp since 2002. SketchUp has taken on more and more importance over time, but I still start and end in PowerCADD. Here's an example sheet of elevations generated from SU and brought into P...
