Re: PowerCadd 10

We are pleased to announce that Alfred has graciously given us the rights to develop WildTools for PowerCADD 10 (and beyond). We are excited to be able to secure the future of WildTools. This is the best news I've heard in a long while on the PowerCadd/Wildtools front!!! So generous of Alfred and s...

Re: PowerCadd 10

As you know, Apple makes it hard to maintain compatibility with older systems. From an engineering perspective, with PowerCADD 10, we are finding it harder and harder to maintain compatibility with a broad range of older systems. Supporting older systems affects the functionality and performance of...

Thanksgiving 2021

I have a lot to be thankful for in my life but I wanted to state here that I was particularly thankful to learn recently that PowerCADD may live on for the foreseeable future. Thank you Todd and Alfred!

Re: Crash upon opening a DWG file

Thank you Patrick. I'm surprised by the speed of your response! After posting my request I looked through earlier threads and found that I had asked a similar question earlier this year but never followed up to see the responses... Anyway, in that thread, Matt suggested using ODAFile Convert...

Re: DWG File Import

I had forgotten that I had asked this question earlier this year. The file translator that Matt suggested seems to do the trick when I translated the file to a binary DXF... Whatever was holding up in PowerCADD was cleared. Thankyou!

Crash upon opening a DWG file

Occasionally I will receive an AutoCad DWG file that I need to open in PowerCADD that causes PC to freeze (that dreaded spinning beach ball). I suspect that I'm not the only one to encounter this difficulty so I thought to ask what others do to resolve the issue... I've already asked the following o...

Re: Register Your Interest in a Forward Move

One seat here, since way way back. It would be great to see PC survive though it appears not likely at this point...

Re: Register Your Interest in a Forward Move

I certainly have interest. Just a lone user here since the early 90s... Has not been easy to stay with PowerCADD here in Canada where there are very few users... Not sure where to go from here.

DWG File Import

I sometimes have issues importing autoCAD files and I'm wondering what the workaround may be. I am aware that the file must be saved to version 2010 or before, however, sometimes that just seems to not be enough. Are there instructions one might provide to the one providing the file as to anything e...
