Re: Update of PowerCADD for MacOS Catalina

Jamie, I have the Mojave installer on a Google Drive that I can share with you. It's a copy of the original 10.14 installer so after you use it you'd have to use the App Store to get the updates. PM me if you'd like to get it. It's about 6 GB. Derek You can actually still download older OSs from Ap...

Re: Keystoke Help

Hi Dan, What you're asking can't currently be done in PowerCADD. The programmers would have to set the variables in each floating window as a definable item for a keystroke. At the moment the Tab key only jumps into the Edit window unless you actually click into a field in another floating window. W...

Re: Acclimating myself to PowerCADD 9 from 6

Howard, You can right-click on the toolbar and choose Customize Toolbar. There is also a Hide Toolbar choice which works, but I don’t have a clue how to turn it back on. Maybe just get used to it and leave it alone... Alfred There's a 'Show toolbar' checkbox in Preferences but you have to relaunch ...

Re: Switching machines

It sounds like PowerCADD is still running on your PowerBook connected to the same network as your new iMac. Did you Quit out of PowerCADD on the laptop before you ran PowerCADD on your iMac? Also, you only need to download the update from here: http://www.engsw.com/products/powercadd/powercadd-9-1-5...

PowerCADD new document window at launch

One for Todd. I think it would be good to have a Preferences option to either have the New Document window appear at PowerCADD launch, or not- as I would prefer. I find that my usual method of starting work is to launch PowerCADD from the dock and then head for the Open Recent menu item from the Fil...

Re: Reference file issue when working from home

Hi Keith, Greetings from the far north! As an update to this, I've discovered that if I keep the file hierarchical structure the same, with the same folder names as is on the server, PowerCADD will find the reference file after 1 error message to say it can't find the server. So PowerCADD seems to b...

Reference file issue when working from home

I've been working from home for a week now and have encountered a problem with reference files. At work we store files on an SMB server volume and reference files work well. However I don't have server access at home and when I open PowerCADD files that contain references I just get a 'can't find se...

Re: Minor PowerCADD update: 9.1.11 (Build TA30)

I see Engineered Software has now included a copy of the ODA File Converter within the Utilities folder in this update. You can convert newer DWG files to a version PowerCADD can read e.g. AutoCAD 2010, using this utility.

Re: Update of PowerCADD for MacOS Catalina

The other thing you could do is run Mojave in a virtual machine. I think the easiest method would be to use Parallels. They have a page on their website showing how to create a Mojave virtual machine either before or after installing Catalina: https://kb.parallels.com/en/124786?_ga=2.125185795.86826...

Re: Text Edit Window

This sometimes happens to me and the workaround I use is to go into System Preferences and click on Displays. Then select the Scaled button under Resolution and select a Larger Text 'tile' to the left of Default. This resets PowerCADD's windows to a 'smaller' display size. Then when you go back to t...
