Re: PowerCadd 10

I'm in the same boat at 67. Worse is that the person I'm training in design and drawing has all but given up on PCADD. I now have TONS of programs that won't work on my main computer including a couple that are part of my normal work. I should mention that I'm using SketchUp for 80% of our design wo...

Re: New PowerCADD screenshot!

My patience is running out, because of the PowerCadd delay I am 4 versions of the MacOS behind, I can not update SketchUp from 2021, other programs are also not able to update. I think I have a solution which I should have thought of before, I have cloned my Mojave OS to a separate start up drive w...

Re: New PowerCADD screenshot!

NO!!!!! I'm chomping at the bit. A couple weeks ago my Parallels didn't work and I was unable to access drawings when I was out on site—a pain in the ass.

Re: WildTools Developments

All this bickering does nothing. I'm still using WT 10.1.3 v5 because recent versions bomb on all my computers when I try to change preferences. This is the version I paid for a LONG LONG time ago and we all know that using beta versions is not fully supported. I love the changes and additions Alfre...

Re: New PowerCADD screenshot!

I am SOOOOO excited this is finally happening - and if there is ANY way to be a beta tester I would even pay for the privilege!

Cheers,

Re: New PowerCADD screenshot!

Really excited! But PLEASE don't force us to have more than JUST the drawing on one screen. I have multiple monitors SECIFICALLY to put everything else on the second monitor.

Re: PowerCADD - SketchUp Interaction

I use PCADD/SketchUp in a 70/30 proportion and will stay this way. I use PCADD for initial design and also work that involves lots of geometry, then transfer to SU for final design, then transfer DWG drawings back to PCADD for production drawings. A bridge like Alfred has designed will be a great he...

Re: PowerCADD Future

Alfred, I've had Macs since January of 1984 and I was also humbled and awed by their newest computers. The raw power is incredible, and the prices are not that bad compared to the original - 1984 & $2,500 for 128k Mac, $675 for the ImageWriter, $500 for an additional floppy drive. And I'd willingly ...

Re: Mojave VM on an M1 Mac

The problem is Mojave is the last macOS that supports 32 bit applications, and the M1 requires Big Sur or later. From everything I’ve read neither Parallels nor VMWare Fusion plan to emulate Mojave on Apple silicone. It would be a massive undertaking to emulate an Intel processor on the M1.
