Re: New PowerCADD screenshot!

I'm using an older PowerBook with macOS Mojave (10.14.6) in order to use PowerCADD. The newer Macs with the M1/M2 chips along with the latest macOS are more stable and fast. Myself and many others here on the forum are patiently (and impatiently) look forward to the new version of PowerCADD. I'll g...

Re: New PowerCADD screenshot!

Today, I am staring at a bill to renew my subscription to Vectorworks, which I invested in years ago, going the way of BIM, at the time very unsure of future of PowerCAD, so I had my interns learn Vectorworks (I wont learn it, continue to use PowerCAD on an old Mac which I keep next to my newer comp...

Re: PowerCADD Future

PowerCADD is the only CAD software I've ever known since entering the "real world" from architectural school in 1997. I still use it, to this day, on a Mac I reserve with slightly older operating system. Meanwhile, I use a newer Mac for rest of office function as well as my interns--though they are ...

Scaling/Orienting Hatch Patterns

It would be wonderful if there was a quicker/easier way to lock a certain hatch pattern with the orientation of a shape to which it is being inserted. For example, when we're drawing plywood on an angle, its not possible to insert the plywood hatch pattern where the lines of the hatch pattern (which...

Revival Architecture

Alfred, Fascinating! Thank you for the books. I have heard of Mary Wingfield Scott as a matter of fact, will definitely enjoy the read. I don't know if there's another connection here, but I currently live in Scott, Arkansas---an unincorporated area outside of Little Rock which earned its name just ...

Revival Architecture

PowerCADD was the first CAD software I learned as an intern coming out of architecture school in 1997. It was easy to learn and it did everything we needed to do as a firm to do nice drawings. Interested in historic preservation, and always inspired by great drawings done by hand, I have always trie...
