Re: PowerCADD Future

The continual annoyance is that we PowerCADD users are not even sure who to ask about new PowerCADD development. On one hand, Todd Stanley rarely announces anything; development is supposed to be by or in conjunction with the developers at FormZ, and a recent look at their bulletins only shows the i...

As I incompletely understand it, you cannot run 32 bit virtual software or emulate 32 bit software on a 64 bit operating system.

Re: Register Your Interest in a Forward Move

Cumulative total is now approximately 137. Is the programming challenge of bringing PC up to date as daunting as Todd Stanley describes it? It seems none of us users know enough about programming to offer a contrary opinion. Can anyone bring this discussion beyond wishful thinking?

Re: Register Your Interest in a Forward Move

I count ±81 seats listed above. The numbers to speculate on is what percentage of total PC users do these 81 seats represent, and how many users are required to make a current OS comaptible re-write economically feasible?

Re: Life after/beyond PowerCadd?

Looking at the Ilexsoft.com web site for High Design, I am impressed that they are already running software that is compatible with Apple's new M chip. Makes me wonder if Todd Stanley exaggerates both the difficulty of translating PowerCadd to current Mac OS compatibility, or the difficulty of handi...

Re: Clarification-the future of PowerCadd

It is somewhat reassuring that the future of WildTools is being thought about. But currently, WildTools is dependent on PC. Can they be separated in the near future? I too have suggested that the users of PC become the owners of PC- sort of a software cooperative. One big question- how many of us cu...

Re: Life after/beyond PowerCadd?

Alfred, the problem with 32 bit Powercadd isn’t PC or WildTools. The problem is intractable progress. The 2020 TurboTax works with Mojave, but nothing older. Next year’s TurboTax will require Catalina or newer. Eventually Safari will likely be obsolete under Mojave, along with other stuff. It’s only...
