Clipping objects behind solid fills

There used to be a function in PowerDraw for making 'Plot" files. It would cut and remove objects behind solid fills. It was good for simplifying drawings to be sent to other CAD users. I don't think that function exists in PowerCADD any longer. Has anyone found an automatic routine for clipping a drawing in this way?
