Group EDITING in context

Post by robpar » Tue Apr 27, 2021 12:21 pm

Ok, so maybe I'm just the only one... But editing groups is a pain when you need to see the relationship of the group you are editing to an adjacent geometry. The best example is group editing in Sketchup, where you can still see the group's context by controlling the dimming of the context.
In Skectup: double click group (would be nice to have); opens group but can you can still see it's context (any adjacent geometry ) you control how much of the adjacent geometry you want to see in preferences; you can even snap to the dimmed geometry...
I know there are work arounds ( I have to copy the context geometry into the group and then delete it) maybe other users have OTHER workarounds but it is silly the way it works now...
