I looked into Synergy and from what I see in their hardware requirements, they dont support any MacOS older than 10.14. I presently use High Sierra (10.13.6) which I believe is the LAST OS that powercadd will operate on??? So is anyone using Synergy using High Sierra?
Actually, the last OS PowerCadd currently operates on is 10.14 (Mojave). It's what I run.

Hi Patrick

I've been running 2 iMacs for a couple of years now, each sharing a second screen. I use the Synergy app which allows me to seamlessly use the same keyboard and mouse on both machines simultaneously and to copy and paste between machines. It works really well and allows me to jump between machines instantly. Each has a separate SS hard drive for back up via time machine

Regards

Keith
Thank you so much for mentioning Synergy to me. I bought/installed it and upgraded my old (2010) 17" MacBook Pro from Sierra to High Sierra, and I am off and running. Using the same mouse/keyboard for both computers really helps (and is better for my posture). Thanks for enlightening me!

I am running High Sierra on my 17” PowerBook (and using Synergy 1.14.6). I kept the installer, so if you give me your email address, I can send the installer to you. I think you may also be able to download it from the Synergy web site, if you go to their download page, scroll down to the Mac portion, look at the two warning boxes, one of which allows you to download Synergy 1.

As an aside, I found a bit of a lag using a wireless connection between the two Macs kind of annoying. To make things work better, I connected the two with an Ethernet cable, and all is good.

It works on Mojave for me.

PowerCADD ran fine for me under Mojave on a late 2015 iMac. I moved and couldn’t bring the iMac with me, so I had to downgrade to a 17” PowerBook which can’t evolve past High Sierra, which is why I was running High Sierra on it (and using Synergy to share the mouse/keyboard with my M2 MacBook (running Ventura).

Haven't looked at this Forum for months, now have received a lot of information. Just maybe PCADD 10 in Sept.? Be good if PCADD could update members via email....I hopefully signed up for beta testing. I'm coping with PCADD 9 on my 2012 MacBook and every thing else on my M1, using video and audio switches I got on Amazon. It works but creates more time to track files back and forth. Still PCADD best 2D cad program, I too learned with a T-square and #6 pencil. So looking forward.

PowerCadd is the life blood of our office. We've been holding off on new computers to keep PowerCADD active. Now there are other applications/websites that are starting to not work because of the old computer. Because we have over 20 years of PowerCADD files we really don't want to switch to a different drafting platform....especially if there is a new PowerCADD coming at some point. I understand that it takes time and I appreciate the effort it is taking to keep it alive but would love to know a rough timeframe (or that it is even going to happen) so I can make a decision for my office. If we got any kind of update I'd feel more confident in my decision to stay loyal to PowerCADD but we can't wait forever.
