Grouping and Modifying Groups

Post by mlsherrod » Thu Jun 27, 2019 3:14 pm

The group command could use an update. Could we double group something and create a component (like sketchup?) Then double click into it to alter all similar components? This would be a huge function upgrade. Alternately, it could function like a Block in Autocad, though I do not feel that blocks are as successful as Sketchup's Component system. In addition, being able to double click into a group, and edit the group without exploding the group would be very helpful.

It would also be nice, when editing a group, to have the surrounding context of the drawing visible (but ghosted) and snappable.

I've seen that in another program, maybe Archicad?
